That plus you would obviously need a patched font for powerline in order to make it work. &lt;p&gt;Console passes mouse clicks to the Windows console. This allows mouse support in cmdline apps (e.g. vim). Obviously, timeout is reacts to that.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I've stopped supporting Console a few years ago mainly due to the lack of time, so I won't be looking into this anytime soone.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It's most likely due to Console not having 256 color support. I've stopped maintaining Console years ago, mainly due to lack of time, so I don't think I'll be adding that feature.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Apparently when I install powerline for my bash shell it won't display correctly in console2.&lt;br/&gt;
I've tried opening a cygwin terminal and there it does display correctly.&lt;br/&gt;
