according to "https://docs.compuware.com/kb/KB1905/HTML/TopazWorkbench_Install/Responsive%20HTML5/TopazWorkbench_Install/Overview/Overview.htm#XREF_55698_Overview" Topaz Workbench is an Eclipse-based IDE that is installed on Microsoft Windows. Topaz Workbench can also be installed as features into Eclipse or IBM’s IDEs.

Hence you can simply add the update site "https://javahexeditor.sourceforge.io/update" for the java Hex Editor plugin via the "Help / Install New Software" menu. It will appear as context menu entry "Open With / Hex Editor".

Downloading the plugin by hand is not that simple, because the file name is changed with every build only is only available in machine readably form for the Eclipse installer. Hence I'd recommend you use install Eclipse on your private PC and use the standard update site/procedure to get the plugin on your local hard disk. If that does now work, please send a mail and I'll provide the plugin to you directly.

Best regards, Peter.

Can this be used with Topaz Workbench 20.05?

I am fairly new to Eclipse tools. I am looking for a EBCIDIC/Hex editor that can be used within Topaz Workbench 20.05 to work with mainframe files.

I have downloaded this, but it seems to be a standalone application.

Can anyone please advise:

How do I obtain the 'plugin' version of Java Hex Editor

Any brief instructions about incorporating it into Topaz Workbench and will it then appear as a new drop-option anywhere?

Thank you,

Installation on Luna fails.

Hi Wendell,
