phpDEV Beta 0.2a released

A long time in the making I know, but I have completed the 0.2a release of phpDEV. It contains some considerable improvements and a focus on strengthening the core of the application.

Porting SVN / Help files to Github

Hi Everyone,

I have decided to move phpDEV to Github, I will still be updating the sourceforge page but will gradually be moving everything over.

I have started adding information to the Github SVN repository so if you want to keep track of beta 2.0a (which is almost complete), then head to http://github.com/Asciant

As far as beta 2.0a goes, I have a working model on my local machine, I am just finalising the edit in place functionality then I believe it will be ready to roll.

phpDEV Beta 0.2a Update

Just a quick post to let anyone who is interested know about the phpDEV beta 0.2a.

Some of the key improvements to the framework are:

- The ability to manage multiple sites out of a single database and install of phpDEV.
- Better User Interface.
- Improved security rollout for integration to sub sites of the framework.
- Ability to manage every aspect of the database.
- Admin and Error logging.

Almost 1000 Downloads

I was having a quick look over at the downloads page and noticed that the project has almost had 1000 downloads.

I know these were mostly in the early stages of the project and as with many SF.net downloads its simply to have a quick peek and then promptly deleted.

Although if anyone is actually using the framework, or has any suggestions, feedback or comments please don't hesitate to contact.

P.S. Beta 0.2a is in the pipeline, with some significant improvements.

phpDEV Beta 0.1f Released

phpDEV 0.1f (beta) has been released and is available for download. phpDEV is a pre-bundled framework where developers can instantly take advantage of a solid foundation to build upon when creating a custom PHP application.

The most recent release includes bugfixes and polishing of the account, sessions and templating functionality. Greater Ajax interaction and a large amount of consolidating.

Notable inclusions and comsolidated searches, ajax record locking and unlocking and consolidated searching.

I am aware it has been a long time since releases, but I have had some work commitments to attend to. I have an updated feature list of what you can expect in phpDEV Beta 0.1f:

I expected something along these lines:

I know there isn't as much as originally promised, but I have only had a minimal amount of time to dedicate to the project.

I expect 0.1f to be finalised within the next week or so.

The next release will be reasonably major as further ajax implementation requires some major changes.

Please don't hesitate to contact if you have any further suggestions or bugs.

We understand this list is not a definitive feature list. Although we hope this feature list will give you an idea of the direction we are looking to head.

phpDEV 0.1e Released

phpDEV 0.1e (beta) has been released and is available for download. phpDEV is a pre-bundled framework where developers can instantly take advantage of a solid foundation to build upon when creating a custom PHP application.

The most recent release includes bugfixes and polishing of the account, sessions and templating functionality.

A noteable bugfix is the textarea bug, which allows users to further extend the templating system.

phpDEV beta 0.1e is almost here

The latest release of phpDEV (beta 0.1e) is being finalised pending a release. It includes some significant bug fixes including the textarea bug fix. It also includes a shift away from cookie based sessions to php's internal session management incorporated with a session class.

Hopefully this release will put phpDEV one step closer to a alpha release, it has been extensively bug tested to avoid the troubles of previous releases.

A pre-release demo will be placed on the homepage shortly to test new features.

phpDEV beta 0.1d

Update rectifies password issues which was overlooked in initial and to date beta releases. All passwords can now be changed through the administration page.

Just a reminder to please be sure to use the bug reporting and feature request functionality if there is something that needs fixing or a new feature you want added.
