Hello,
I already saw some commits where uninitialized variables were initialized.
However, there is still a warning in the syslog regarding one variable:
"Use of uninitialized value $match_type in string ne at /usr/sbin/snmptt line 1741"

Maybe you can initialize the variable with an empty string in line 1729:
my $match_type = '';

This worked for me.

I followed instructions in http://www.snmptt.org/docs/snmptt.shtml#SNMPTT.CONF-EVENT and tried these conf lines:

EVENT general3 .1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.1 "General event3" Normal
FORMAT ZBXTRAP $aA$Fn$+*

EVENT general4 SNMPv2-MIB::coldStart "General event4" Normal
FORMAT ZBXTRAP $aA$Fn$+*

EVENT general5 coldStart "General event5" Normal
FORMAT ZBXTRAP $aA$Fn$+*

I send traps by command:
snmptrap -v2c -c public 127.0.0.1 "" ".1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.1"

And they all work only when my snmptrap daemon is started with option -On - i.e. to return all OIDs as numeric:

  .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0             type=67 value=Timeticks: (24869350) 2 days, 21:04:53.50
  .1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0         type=6  value=OID: .1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.1

But if start snmptrap by deafult (numeric OIDs resolved to symbolic) it returns varbinds as:

DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance (24782816) 2 days, 20:50:28.16
SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 SNMPv2-MIB::coldStart

and snmptt could not match such traps at all.

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 with recent SNMPTT 1.5beta2.
I've tried everything (~5 years ago) and did my test to try again now - still does not work.

Debug files with config files are attached.
