THE BEST AVI-to-DVD program, free or commercial. The only one I've used that doesn't produce pan 'n scan errors, that jerky across-the-screen movement reminiscent of bank security cameras. Nero, Wondershare, DVDFlick, and every other similar program I've used fell short. AVStoDVD makes them all look like amateurish also-rans. Takes a little longer to run, but who cares with results like these. As someone mentioned, the menu editor's thumbnail selector is pretty lame to use, but guess what, I don't care when the rest of the program is this great.

This software is great it's a pitty that's not in 64-bit (maybe they work on it). Because I'm bedridden and disabled and haven't enough energy, I take my time to understand how this conversion-software works. Most of the time is the translating from English to Dutch an extra handicap for me, but this programm is easier to understand than every commercial softwareproduct which makes audio/video-conversions. I'm happy too that this program/platform is here by sourceforge, than the software is 'open source' and for sure for free, any way thanks.

Very useful and great program. Uses HCEnc encoder which is the best and handles the AVISynth scripts for you plus autoburns with ImgBurn. Very useful and powerfull program. I'm using Windows 7 and apparently this OS doesn't want to allow the ffdshow to work properly. You will need to download this registry tool and choose ffdshow for everything.. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146910 ..then ffdshow has total control, not app's fault but Microsoft problem with W7 trying to control directshow and what codec "you are allowed" to use (W7 is a pain). Check out all of the option under "view/edit title settings" for many powerful options. Overall this program does it all, brings dvd authoring, avisynth, HCEnc, ffdshow and ImgBurn together into one seamless operation. One thing important I learned is that you need to check your ffdshow settings from start/programs/ menu in you OS. Audio should be 3/0/2+LFE for surround output onto dvd. Mine was set to 2/0/0 stereo. Thanks MrC for the program and also your priceless help!

GIANT program, alternative to Nero Vision, DVDflick and many more.... Easy to use, Simple and great... Perhaps shold give it better video editor (to select marker for icon clip) and possibility to set HD formats over PAL-NTSC and CD/miniCD/miniDVD/BlueRAY over DVD/DVDDL

The finest media (AVI, MP4, MKV, etc.) -to-DVD program in existence, capable of the highest quality HCenc encodes and much more. Thank you MrC and contributors. High recommended!
