"Hard to beat how great it is" Posted 2021-08-18
Pros: Full disclosure, I only use the free feature, which is to design a PDF for my clients. It's super easy to use, and very user-friendly.
Cons: I haven't noticed any downsides to this product as of yet.
Overall: I like it. It's free to use a few PDFs, I can just swap in the info that I need and it works great. Very solid product.

"incredible solution" Posted 2021-08-17
Pros: As a small nonprofit, Canva has helped us achieve a strong brand without having access to a full time graphic designer. The fact that nonprofits can use Pro at no cost is incredible!
Cons: Very few -- it can be difficult to customize beyond templates, but that occasional con pales in comparison to the benefit of templates.
Overall: We use Canva weekly, from everything to social posts to fliers to invitations. Highly, highly recommend!

"Robot Designer, Check!" Posted 2021-07-29
Pros: This app has saved me countless hours designing things. New designs are continuously added so I never have to worry about my graphics going stale. Can't beat the software service for the price.
Cons: For some reason some placement sizes are replaced or removed all together. Know what and where you want to be publishing. I've spend too much time thinking through sizes to find the perfect design. Don't get trapped thinking about design.
Overall: This is one of my all-time favorite software services because they tackle such a huge problem and have really helped me get more time back. Design things fast. Software is simple to use. Gallery's are continuously updated. The upsells and add-ons are completely reasonable. Don't worry about being overcharged. Great for small to enterprise businesses.

"Professional Quality, But Easier" Posted 2021-07-19
Pros: The large variety of built-in graphics and elements is great - there are so many options for clip art-y elements to add to your designs, many of which have customizable colors. The templates serve as a great starting point for almost any project.
Cons: My only complaints are fairly nit-picky things. Using the arrow keys to nudge objects moves them a little farther than I would like, it's not quite precise enough. I wish I could place guides on my document. It would be nice to able to have nesting groups, like grouping two text boxes together and then grouping that text group with another element.
Overall: As a professional graphic designer, I utilize Canva all. the. time. While it's not as powerful as the "gold standard" desktop programs most designers utilize, it's pretty dang good. I save so much time by using the templates to get started on things like posters and flyers that I would normally spend 3x as long designing from scratch. I like that I can save all my brands' colors and logos and search through them easily. Super handy program!

"Amazing software for style illiterate like me" Posted 2021-06-19
Pros: Amazing flexibility within the tool for creating different designs and logos or posters, Instagram stories or more.
Cons: If you don’t want to pay for it, you can still use it really well, but you don’t get the best logos and templates and built-in features. But that is to be expected for a freemium model software.
Overall: Honestly, I’m a huge fan of Canva. If I used it more often, then I would probably upgrade to the premium subscription, but the free one is sufficient for me and my limited use. Highly recommend

Pros: -simple to use
-lot of free media
-available on web and mobile
-continues to evolve
-reasonable pricing modelCons: -the 'good' stuff is only available through subscription (not really a con, just a fact)
-further integrations would be helpfulOverall: Canva being relatively new, has quickly become quite popular due to the fact that it provides a lot of capabilities and materials to support everyone's means to post engaging social media contributions. It has quite a few free media offerings, yet one quickly 'hits' the need to upgrade.

"Create all kinds of designs or images with good colors." Posted 2021-02-23
Pros: Canva is used in all sectors of our company as a primary platform for the development of designs, templates, banners, logos and much more. Canva is a fantastic platform to innovate design within the workplace, this platform is completely easy to use and helps to design very attractive images. One of the features that I liked the most about Canva is that it offers me a fairly fast and easy-to-use web editor, with this web editor you can make all kinds of designs quickly, without any complications, in addition, This editor does not present any type of delay in the creation of banners with excess information.
Cons: One of the negative factors that I have noticed in Canva is that when a slide is made on this platform, it is not possible to download it, the only way to present that slide is to do it online, opening the Canva website, otherwise it cannot be presented. I would like this software to have the ability to download the slides, as it would be more accessible and I would not have to open the web to present my slides.
Overall: The general experience I have had with Canva has been really good, this platform has been able to help me create all kinds of designs for all kinds of occasions within my work sector. With Canva I have been able to create very attractive banners, with perfect colors and with a good order of information, and I have also been able to create images that illustrate the work that I have to deliver. Imaging in Canva is perfect as it has a wide variety of colors, templates and shapes that can give you a better view of the design that is being made. Canva is completely fast, I have no complaints about the fluidity it has.

"Canva is the fast and convenient solution for image designs" Posted 2021-02-21
Pros: With this tool I can create excellent posts for my social networks, flyers, letters, etc. With a wide gallery of elements that help to create what you want without having to be a professional in graphic design. It has good templates that help to edit images according to what you want to create, this tool is very useful to quickly have an idea of what you want to create. I can add gifs or animations that look perfect with email banners to make them look more professional visually. Finally, I love that it has an almost infinite gallery of any image, shapes, gifs, stickers, etc., and also that every day they add more content so that nothing is repetitive and everything is fresh and new.
Cons: To be honest, I have only had one problem with this platform and that is that when making or modifying a design within the mobile application it tends to slow down at certain times, making it slower to be able to perform, for example, a correction to me picture. Another disadvantage that can be seen (but it is not my case) is that the free version is quite limited based on templates, formats and also the object gallery.
Overall: Without being an expert in design, I have been able to give life to my publications on the social networks that I administer, it has also helped me to be able to choose the best colors since it has color palettes and according to the use or theme I can choose automatically this suits my design without so much fuss. With Canva I have been able to have a place where my design can be exported in different formats and presentations to be able to use it in almost any place where my company is present, be it a poster, flyer, mail, etc. All this without the need for a design background as this platform makes all of this look professional.

"Very good designs but too slow an editor." Posted 2021-02-07
Pros: Canva was the first slide deck we started using in our industry. One of the things I liked the most about this platform is that it offers a lot of variety when it comes to templates and fonts. Canva is able to provide the user with a large number of very attractive fonts, which give a different touch to each slide that is being made. The most interesting feature that I noticed in Canva is that this platform allowed me to work as a team, and to be able to make the slides with the support of the colleagues I wanted, they could modify the information of a slide and I could also do it at the same time.
Cons: Canva was quite an interesting platform, and although we used it for a very short time, I consider that it has many factors and features that need to be improved to optimize the user experience. During my experience with this platform, I noticed that the "drag and drop" editor is very slow compared to other platforms, this web editor is quite slow and caused us to take a long time making the pending slides. In addition, Canva did not have a desktop application, which made it even more difficult to make the slide from a device or form the computer version to obtain greater fluidity. I believe that a downloadable application must be created for Canva to be a profitable platform.
Overall: My general experience with Canva in my work sector was poor, from 1 to 5 I would give it a 2, because this platform did not allow me to develop the slides fluently. The web version that Canva offered me was quite slow, it also presented lag when I inserted more information or when I inserted more images to the slide. Canva was replaced by the "Prezi" platform in our company, because Prezi offered more job guarantees and the Prezi slide editor offered us more fluidity when developing any slide.

The layouts Canva gave me for my slides were really cool, but the layouts weren't much use as I spent hours making a slide due to how slow the web editor was. -

"A free alternative to Adobe Illustrator for both beginners and professionals" Posted 2020-12-19
Pros: Canva is the perfect online solution for beginner to intermediate level graphic designing. All the resources are available on the site itself making it easier for a user to design efficiently and quickly. There are more than enough resources available such as high-quality images, illustrations, and animated objects with more resources being added regularly in the updates. A user can simply use the available templates for various uses such as designing resumes, posters, intros, etc. This is really helpful for new users who don't have any experience in graphic designing.
Cons: Canva is an online platform so you need an active internet connection to use it and access the resources. Some resources are locked and they can only be unlocked by buying the pro package which is not very costly but the fact that we can easily find the resources on other sites for free makes the pro package an unnecessary cost.
Overall: Being a graphic designer myself, I will absolutely recommend Canva to users who are beginners in graphic designing. Even professional designers can use it to create designs quickly on a short notice, with no loss in the quality of their work. There are more features added daily so a user can solely rely on Canva for all their graphic needs.

"Game changer for small business design" Posted 2020-12-11
Pros: Canva Pro has so many templates, photos, and design elements built in that even the most amateur user can create professional looking marketing materials at a fraction of the cost of hiring out their design work.
Using Canva not only lets our non profit create new beautiful materials, it lets us update those materials for the web or print quickly and to collaborate with other team members.
The access to millions of searchable stock photos included with Canva pro is a huge value add. The subscription price compared to expensive design software is excellent.Cons: Mail Merge is a weakness if you are creating business documents through Canva. You can make great looking letters, but you're limited in your download options to pdfs, and image files of many formats. If you need to customize those documents using MS office products, you'll have to come up with a creative work around.
Overall: Canva has become my default software for all things donor facing in our non profit. It's makes it so easy to create and customize print and web materials. It puts incredible powerful tools in your hands at a great price point.

Cons: Making vector graphics with transparent backgrounds should be free, not paid.

"Make beautiful looking graphics easily" Posted 2020-11-10
Pros: Canva already gives you some really pretty stuff to work from right off the bat. It's easy to edit and make something that looks really professional without having to pay much. If you have a really tight budget, you can make some really nice looking stuff without having to hire a graphic designer.
Cons: It takes a little getting used to, and the base designs to learn a little feminine and hipster-y, but you can change it to suit whatever aesthetics you need it to do with some effort. The price may seem a little steep to those not used to looking into having a professional designer do work for you, despite it actually being really cheap, and may not be a good fit for a really small project that only need one poster or flyer done quickly.
Overall: I highly recommend giving this a try if you're on a budget and need to make a lot of graphics. We used this to make flyers to put up around the school for different events we had coming up through the year, and to use as digital flyers posted to BAND for the kids and parents to see. They looked so much better than what some of the other staff put up around the school for sure.
