This is an Android version of SNMP based on opensource NET-SNMP project at http://www.net-snmp.org. Here are quick start steps to use the snmp library in your android application: 1. create your application in the Eclipse 2. unzip the tar file which contains libsnmpsdkjni.so for armeabi, armeabi-v7a, mips and x86 platforms as well as snmpsdk.jar 3. copy those folders and snmpsdk.jar file to libs folder under your Android project folder. 4. load the library in onCreate() via function call System.loadLibrary("snmpsdkjni"); 5. use the snmpGet API to get the value for scalar or columnar OID. ORLA, or Open Remote Linux Administration, is a project we’re working on as engineering studients in IT at Polytech Marseille Engineering School, France. The goal of ORLA is to provide Server Administrators a small yet effective monitoring tool on your Android phone. And security will not be a problem as we’ll cipher data transmission with AES-256 encryption. We just finished the design of the program and the algorithms we’ll work with, and we are going to start coding soon :) We’ll continue to maintain and upgrade the project even after the school’s deadline, because we think it can be useful to quite a lot of people.
