Version 2.0.0 has been released

This version contains the following changes:

• Import of maps from OpenStreetMap (including possibility to add custom tile servers)!
• Georeference infomation now stored directly inside the metadata of saved map images, but reading maps saved in the old format (via settings or registry) is still supported.
• Ready for Windows 11, but no longer maintaining Windows 7 (or lower), due to upgrade from Qt 5.12 to 6.9
• Application now follows the Windows (dark/light) theme.

Route Generatior version 1.11.0 released!
The following new features have been implemented:

• GeoTiff support.
• Possibility to set fixed output resolution for output video's.
• Scrolling/sliding map with fixed resolution of output video when generating movie.
• Because background map resolution can now be higher than the output resolution, you can now specify a ratio in relation to the selected output resolution in the Google maps importer.
• Make it possible to select existing folder again.
• FPS setting now passed correctly to the ffmpeg commandline.
• Possibility to set different file type for generated video frames (e.g. PNG, JPG, etc.)

This version contains several bugfixes and improvements:

• Now using Google map's (web mercator) lat,lon to x,y conversion (GPX import), so routepoints are better projected on the map
• Prevent zoomlevels with decimal numbers in Google map URL's
• Option to select previously saved maps after importing GPX route
• Google maps dialog size and position saved (i.e. dialog has same size and position when re-opened)
• Maximum size for custom vehicles increased
• Smoother vehicle movement, especially when route moves around direct north or south

Since the introduction of the new ffmpeg, the default pixel format of the output video was always set to yuv444p. This format is not yet supported by many players or video editors. The generator has been changed to always set the pixel format to yuv420p which is more commonly supported.

Route Generator upgraded to version 1.8

• The import from Google maps now works again!
• New version of Zeranoe FFmpeg included (4.1.3)
• Technical details: Upgraded code base to use Qt 5.12

For the rest no new features have been added, but ready for the future.

following features have been added or improved:

-Generate iconless begin/end frames checkbox moved to preferences dialog
-Google maps importer fix (map now scrollable and zoomable)

In this version, automatic route interpolation is implemented (but still needs improvement).

This version of Route Generator contains a minor bugfix. If a route contained more than 1000 frames (i.e. after 40 seconds), the frame numbering went wrong and the bmp2avi conversion failed. Adapted the frame numbering.

The Route Generator source code as now been added to CVS.

I released a minor update of Route Generator, containing better error detection/logging while converting BMP to AVI files (using Bmp2Avi). Some people are having trouble with this stage and hopefully this feature gives some more useful information, if something goes wrong.

Route Generator v1.2 has been released. The main change in this version is that the vehicle icon now changes it's direction, depending on the heading of the drawn route.

Route Generator 1.1 has been made available today. With Route Generator you can make moving routes for your video editing projects.
