SpillGuard

SpillGuard is a Data Loss/Leak Prevention (DLP) plugin for Microsoft Office designed to help prevent the opening, saving or printing of Microsoft Office files containing classification markings higher than the classification of the user's computer.

Breaches are logged to Event Log and/or network file share

Files are checked when opened, saved and printed

Windows NT4 to Vista, and Office 2000 to 2007 are supported

Example disallowed classification marking prevents save

Denied save attempt was logged to the Windows Event Log

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are supported
